description Ole Bull State Park consists of 132 acres along the Kettle Creek Valley in Potter County. This area is called the Black Forest because of its once dense tree cover, mountainous terrain and wilderness habitat. The park is named after Ole Bornemann Bull, the famous Norwegian violinist who toured the United States in the 1850's. Ole Bull attempted to develop a Norwegian settlement at this beautiful location. A monument was erected at the park in 2002.

importantInformation Camp Area 1 shower house closes mid October. Sites in this loop are available mid October through the beginning of April on a first come first serve basis by using the honor system procedures displayed at the park office. Restroom and shower facilities are open year round in Camp Area 2 for all campers. Reservations for Camp Area 1 through the Pennsylvania State Parks Reservation system or online are accepted for the first weekend in April through mid October. Please be advised that GPS programs may not provide accurate directions to facilities in this area and may have you traveling on dirt or closed roads. Use paper maps for best results.
